Wincheringen an der ObermoselWincheringen Mosel
and his military tower

Also Wincheringen and his districts Bilzingen and Söst lie with the slope, a little remotely from the Moselle shore. The founders of the smart winegrower's village - and this were demonstrable already the forefathers from the Stone Age - had well chosen when they selected this place for her settlement. A bridge connection to Luxembourg provides for active exchange between both lands.

The medieval round tower and military tower which is today a striking brand name of Wincheringen comes from the Frankish settlement period in which the local core formed a group round a former water castle. He carries strangely the bells of the village church which itself is wrong. A visit of the parish church is worthwhile anyway, because here very nice old mural paintings and cover paintings with a lot of love and expenditure have been renovated exemplarily.

Who loves narrow lanes, old farmhouses, a diverse scenery and the happy Obermosel, is right in Wincheringen.
