Celtic-Roman origin. In the cellar there are big parts of a well-preserved

In the area of "castle Veldenz" a Blidenstein, red sandstone, approx. 10 kg, was discovered, a proof of the fact that in the medieval castle a slingshot, Triboc or Blide was called, was stationed.
The French Middle Ages group » Compagnie you Ravin « from Sedan has reconstructed the machine historically precisely. The Blide on castle Veldenz is one of few historical and really functioning slingshots in Europe.
