The Middle-Moselle - heart of the river Moselle

Where the names of the wine towns and Riesling-viticulture are most famous, particularly well sounding, there a especially remarkable part of Moselle flows: the Middle-Moselle.

Here you will find the most famous winegrowing estates, here you may enjoy the best-known Riesling wine worldwide for only little money. Here - and that's not only standing from the american point of view - German "Gemutlichkeit" and hospitality has one of its centres.

The tourist, who might not know anything about Berlin or Bonn, but he will tell you stories about Traben-Trarbach, Ürzig or Bernkastel-Kues anyway. The Middle-Moselle isn't that crowded You would assume. The season doesn't matter - the visitors are always touched by the inherent natural beauty. Watching the grape harvest in October, amusement and delicacies at one of the numerous wine festivals, which will be held nearly all over the year, contemplative walks or bike excursions along the waterfront, offering many adventures - the typical attractions of Middle Moselle make everybody become enthusiastic.

The variety of enjoyment the guest may apply to, are really overwhelming. It is not only the wine, for which visitors travel around half the world. There are castle ruins, legends and fairy tales - and very close to the touristic centres you will find ease and loneliness, romantic and historic town centres, cosy courtyards and spend evenings in social gathering, merry with wine. Best of all is: all places are close to each other.
